The Adventures of Madeleine

Madeleine and I road-tripped to Indiana recently while Josh worked very hard installing our new child-safe railings. Little M was such a trooper, she traveled very well....which I was thankful for since I was the only grown up with her on the road!!

She was a great hit and we had a great time. Milestones that Madeleine saved for while we were at grandma and grandpa's included her third word, "ni-ni" (night-night) and shaking her head for "no".

I know we've been slack in updating the blog recently. Madeleine has had a tough several weeks with her first cold, and then her first ear infection. So there's been a lack of sleep around here on all parts and no motivation to post updates. Once we are back to health, we'll get some more photos and videos up.

Wow, our little girl is a year old! I can't believe she is getting so big! We celebrated her birthday this weekend with family and friends. We had quite a big day with her first trip to the apple orchard, picking her first pumpkin and her party. It was a long day, but she had a great time!

Madeleine is very fond of her feet :-) Trying to eat them is one of her favorite past times, and provides us with endless amusement. Just because we can, we share our amusement with you!

Madeleine often plays in her play yard while I work in my home office during the day, with me looking over at her if she gets too loud or too quiet, LOL! Well today, there was a lot of noise and this is what I turned around to see. So much for the play yard :-(

She was crying because she'd gotten herself up there, but couldn't get herself down :-)

Well, I recently hung out with my mommy and daddy....they are my favorite playmates these days. We played outside and I spent most of my time climbing on them, they make a great jungle gym! Although, I'm still not sure what I think of this thing they call "grass"...I'd rather play on the safety of the blanket (which Mom and Dad are very thankful for right now!).

We adventured to the Hartville Flea Market the other weekend in search of fresh produce to tide us over until our CSA pick-ups started. Here are a few pictures. Miss Madeleine missed a nap this day, so all things considered she did really well.

Being worn after having a meltdown in her stroller when she couldn't see her mommy. We highly recommend the carrier that Kate is wearing. It's an Ergo and worth every penny!
