Homemade bowling
By Kate on Jul 9, 2011 | In Family
While Grandma and Grandpa were here this week, we made our own bowling ball game. Maddie and Grandma had lots of fun making the pins.
I realize bowling is 10-pin, but we made extras just in case, and Maddie wanted to use them too.

Day Out with Thomas
By Kate on May 27, 2011 | In Family, Outings & Adventures
We had a great time today on our Day Out with Thomas. Maddie was so excited, we couldn't get to the train fast enough. It was even more special because Daddy and Uncle Joel took the day off of work to spend with her.
Waiting for the train ride to start.

Maddie and Daddy

I had Thomas coloring books and stickers for the ride up to the train station, but Maddie decided that she needed to save the stickers for when she was on the train.

"But I don't want to get off the train."

Getting help from the conductor.

Maddie is 3
By Kate on Oct 6, 2010 | In Family, Milestones
How can that little baby we brought home from the hospital be three already? Seems like yesterday! That little baby is now a young lady with many opinions, a lovely sense of humor and quite the vocabulary. And let us not forget her sense of style, she's been choosing her own clothes now for nearly a year.
Here are some photos from her birthday. Sadly, Daddy was out of town on business on her actual birthday but we still had her little party that day since she was VERY clear on what day her birthday was :-)

Easter Egg Hunt
By Kate on Apr 3, 2010 | In Holidays, Family
We took Madeleine to her first Easter egg hunt today and she has a ball! The event started with a brunch with Madeleine stealing the fruit off of all of our plates with no shame. She also got to make several egg shaped "shakers", a necklace and a bookmark. And after what I'm sure felt like forever to Madeleine, she finally got to go hunt for the eggs. Here are just a few of the photos we took today.

The "snow box"
By Kate on Feb 10, 2010 | In Family, Outings & Adventures
Our sand box was magically transformed into a "snow box". Maddie had a great time filling it with snow and wouldn't leave it until it was filled to the top. And yes, in some of these photos she is standing on top of the snow!
