Daddy's home
By Kate on Jun 21, 2009 | In Family
We were thrilled that Daddy came home after a week away on a business trip. Even though Grandma and Grandpa (Kate's parents) were here to play with her, Madeleine missed her daddy. And she waited patiently at the airport while we watched passengers disembark, repeatedly saying "Daddy?". She was beside herself with excitement when she saw him though :-)
On the way to the airport to get daddy.

Daddy, daddy!!

For a child that never sits still, this snuggle was unheard of.

Planting herbs with Grandma
By Kate on Jun 20, 2009 | In Family
Madeleine helped Grandma and I plant herbs this morning. Dirt and water....a toddlers dream :-) No photos of me during this fun time unfortunately, the grandparents are technologically challenged.

Hanging out with the grandparents
By Kate on Jun 19, 2009 | In Family
Madeleine and I have been having a great time hanging out with grandma and grandpa.
Playing at the sand table with Grandpa.

I love books!!

Helping Grandma wash off the picnic table.

She was fascinated with her carseat being in the house.

Shelling peas
By Kate on Jun 18, 2009 | In Family
Grandpa and Grandma arrived today from Indiana for a visit, we were so excited. Madeleine and Grandma spent time before dinner shelling peas that we got from our CSA. Madeleine was actually really good at getting the peas out! She didn't eat any of course, but Rome wasn't built in a day :-)

Nighty, night
By Kate on Jun 9, 2009 | In Just Hanging Out
Here's how Madeleine spent her time before her bath this evening. The jury is still out on whether or not it was a stall tactic, but it's still totally adorable. She's gotten very attached to all of her little friends, and most end up with her in her crib on a nightly basis.

Fun at First Friday
By Kate on Jun 5, 2009 | In Outings & Adventures
We had a great time this evening at First Friday (a local arts event)! A special bonus was that tonight the Budweiser Clydesdale horses were there and there was a small parade. Madeleine LOVED the horses.
It was difficult to get good photos of the horses with the crowd, but here's the best I could do. The photos really don't do them justice, they were very impressive.

Miss Madeleine, the thinker.

Parachute play with Mommy at the WeJoySing area. Madeleine went under the parachute when it was her turn, and when it wasn't :-)

Playing with the rhythm sticks at WeJoySing with Uncle Joel.

A new swing
By Kate on Jun 4, 2009 | In Videos
Daddy made Madeleine her very own swing. She's actually gotten pretty good at swinging on it too! Enjoy.
