The Adventures of Madeleine

Madeleine often plays in her play yard while I work in my home office during the day, with me looking over at her if she gets too loud or too quiet, LOL! Well today, there was a lot of noise and this is what I turned around to see. So much for the play yard :-(

She was crying because she'd gotten herself up there, but couldn't get herself down :-)

I think Madeleine isn't far from walking! She's done this a couple of times, and is pretty pleased with herself each time.

Well, I recently hung out with my mommy and daddy....they are my favorite playmates these days. We played outside and I spent most of my time climbing on them, they make a great jungle gym! Although, I'm still not sure what I think of this thing they call "grass"...I'd rather play on the safety of the blanket (which Mom and Dad are very thankful for right now!).

I love my feet!

We adventured to the Hartville Flea Market the other weekend in search of fresh produce to tide us over until our CSA pick-ups started. Here are a few pictures. Miss Madeleine missed a nap this day, so all things considered she did really well.

Being worn after having a meltdown in her stroller when she couldn't see her mommy. We highly recommend the carrier that Kate is wearing. It's an Ergo and worth every penny!

We made our first trek to Mud Run Farm this week for our CSA pick-up of our produce. For those of you not familiar CSA's (Community Supported Agriculture), in a CSA you purchase shares from a local farm and for the season you get locally grown produce. It's a great way to get "closer to your food". We are really looking forward to getting local produce this summer and starting to teach Madeleine where food comes from.

Grandma (Kate's mom) has been a busy grandma these days making cute little outfits for Madeleine. Here is one of my favorites.

We had our first playdate this week and we had a great time! Madeleine got together with Dominic, a little buddy who was born about a month after her. We went to Price Park where we played on the swings and then played with our toys. Madeleine and Dominic seemed to have a good time, and I was excited to talk to another grown-up :-) Here are some photos, I really love Madeleine's expressions in all of these photos.

This was really Madeleine's first time to be in a swing too! She enjoyed it, but after a while eating the swing was more fun than having Mommy push the swing to make her move, as evidenced in one of the photos below.

Well ladies and germs, my mom discovered that our digital camera can take videos. So watch out, she's on a video kick now!! If you think it's tough, imagine being me and having her take videos of me all the time. This video is of me just yesterday playing with my push toy for the first time, it moved when I pushed on it....how cool is that?
