The Adventures of Madeleine

Grandma and Grandpa (Kate's parents) have been visiting while Daddy is away in Guatemala. Everyone has had a great time! Grandma and Grandpa have been especially amazed at how active and busy Madeleine is. Here are some photos of them hanging out....she's loves her grandparents!! We'll be sad to see them go home tomorrow.

Believe it or not, but we've gone fluffy! We've been cloth diapering Madeleine now for over a month. I'm thrilled that we aren't filling a landfill with disposables, and it's been surprisingly easy.

Here's a photo of my "stash". Believe it or not, even with all of these, I'm still doing laundry every 2 days!

It was only a matter of time once Madeleine began crawling and pulling up to standing before she started exercising this skill in the crib. Fortunately, she's still sleeping in her crib too! Though there have been a few bumps and tears when she's fallen down.

I don't know what this means, but my mommy is calling me a crawling fool. I just want to check out off of my surroundings.....Mommy's laptop and the fireplace are my current favorite places to crawl to. But drat that mommy, she put pillows in front of the fireplace....what was she thinking??

As you can tell, I went a little crazy with the videos today. But I thought those of you far away who don't get to see Madeleine might enjoy seeing her "live and in person". Enjoy!

Well, it's been a busy few weeks for Madeleine! In the span of two weeks, our precocious little girl has mastered sitting up and crawling. And her latest feat has been to pull herself to standing. She's going to be walking before we know it! Here are a few photos from just this morning of her new standing skills.

Sorry to have been MIA lately, we got hammered with the flu. We are all better now, but it was a bumpy ride! Here are a few recent pictures of Little Miss.

This photo was taken the day the flu began. We were at a youth retreat where Josh was playing in the worship band. Madeleine is hanging out in her stroller outside our cabin. We did make it home before the flu struck, fortunately.

Hamming it up for Mom!

A couple of months ago, Madeleine figured out how to blow raspberries and delighted in blowing them all the time. Well, as quickly as they appeared, they also disappeared....much to Mommy's sadness. Well they returned today! I'm sitting here listening to the sweet sound of Madeleine blowing raspberries and talking to herself while she plays. Oh, the simple things!

We had peas for the first time today, and Madeleine isn't quite sure what she thinks of them yet. Don't be fooled by the kind of happy expressions on her face, she always gets happy when the camera comes out!
