Riding in her "big girl" stroller
By Kate on Mar 30, 2008 | In Family, Outings & Adventures
Madeleine took her first ride in the "big girl" part of her stroller. There's a walking path near our home and since it was a nice day we took a family walk. Mom and Dad got good exercise walking, but Mom is secretly envious that Madeleine got to ride in style the whole time.

All strapped in and getting bundled with blankets before we started out.

While we were enjoying the breeze and sights, Madeleine thought that Crinkle Bunny was much more interesting.

And still...Crinkle Bunny gets more love than the pretty day!

Sitting up...kind of
By Kate on Mar 29, 2008 | In Milestones
Madeleine is very close to being able to sit up independently. She's mastered the "tripod" sit. I think that she likes the new view of the world that it gives her. Of course, it also gives her a new way to launch herself for all of her acrobatics too.

Here's a quick photo of Madeleine and I this morning for those of you wanting to see new photos.
Playing in our Exersaucer

I had to resist the urge to post all of the photos in this series, they were all pretty cute but here are the highlights.

Yeah, she's a ham!

Playing is very serious business.

Lounging and looking adorable.

Princess Madeleine
By Kate on Mar 1, 2008 | In Just Hanging Out
Aunt Sherry was kind enough to send this "princess" crown to Madeleine with a nice note that she can use it to remind Mom and Dad who's really in charge now :-)

"Mommy, I'm really done with the crown."

All princesses wear their crown's off to one side!

First Cereal
By admin on Mar 1, 2008 | In Milestones
Well, today we had cereal for the first time. I think Mommy was the most excited of everyone! Madeleine was much more into the spoon than she was with the cereal. She seemed to kind of like it at first, but things when quickly downhill from there. But it provided a good photo opportunity! We'll keep trying with the cereal, and maybe add squash to the menu in a week or so.
The bib was a gift from our Aunt Sherry and seemed appropriate for our first cereal :-)

"I want the spoon Mommy, let go!"

"I like this spoon Mommy!"

"If you give me the spoon, no one will get hurt."

"Whew, they took away that lumpy stuff!"

"Stop Mommy, it tastes weird!"

"Yeah, I know I"m cute!"

"Mommy, can't you tell I don't want anymore?"

"Well, maybe it wasn't that bad after all."

"Whew, it's done!"
